Last evening, the Town of Cobalt Council held the service pins and awards dinner for the town staff and our volunteer firefighters. We are fortunate to have committed citizens who genuinely care about their community. The firefighters also provide first response for the community which is essential for us. Their spouses were also recognised for the support which they provide.
Pat Bigelow took a picture of Ken Pickard, Dorothy Bogart and myself, who have a combined service of 100 years. I have contributed one of those years, the rest are from Ken and Dorothy and I will not tell who has the most.
Councilor Sue Nielsen and her recreation committtee have organised a Family Day event for area children. It is free of charge and will be held at the Father Les Costello Arena. The day will include free skating, sliding, face painting, hot chocolate ...Be there or be square.
